DUPLEX PLASTOMETER SEMI-AUTOMATIC CP2-02A

Duplex semi-automatic plastometer CP2-02A is used to identify ranks of coal and work groups which determine coal quality for carbonization and the coal trade according to the standard GOST 1186-87 “Hard coal. Methods of plastometric indices determination”.

The main indices of Plastometric Method are:

1. Plastic layer thickness, mm - y;

2. Plastometric shrinkage, mm - x.

As additional features there may be taken plastometric curve and characteristics of solid nonvolatile residue resulting from the test.

        Plastometer includes:

  1. Stand with fixed blocks and devices for heating plastometric containers with a coal sample;
  2. Control Cabinet which controls heating process and measures plastometric shrinkage. Cabinet allows testing either in automatic or manual mode.
  3. Personal Computer which controls the Plastometer and displays the results of the tests automatically. It collects the information about the current temperature of the container bottom and controls the process of analysis. Plastometric curves are displayed on the monitor as well as the heating curves. The Computer generates warning signals that the operator should make a piercing of a plastic layer according to the plastometric curve rate. When the analysis is over the operator puts down to the computer memory the measured values of the plastic layer and  the temperatures of the tests. The computer processes the data and according to them makes resulting curves on the display. Than it determines the index of plastometric shrinkage (x) and the plastic layer thickness (y) in each container. The results may be printed and saved in the computer memory.
